Recovery is about facing every situation in life head on without resorting to the bottle. You are taking recovery seriously, and doing well. This is probably the biggest test you will ever face.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Trying to focus on health is a driving force behind me getting sober as health is incredibly important as we age.

I'm glad you have managed to stay on course in such difficult times. Keep up what is working for you. Thoughts are with you at this time.

I'm so sorry for your loss, @soberclover! I haven't been online for a few days so I just saw this now. It's a terrible thing to have to face but you're wise to keep your sobriety; being drunk just makes everything worse. Do you have a good support system? People to lean on?
