Soar like an Eagle - Weekenders 21 - 24 January 2022
I am disgusted. It's snowing again and the street doesn't look good at all. Billie's vet appt is today at 5:30 and I hope the roads are plowed and salted before bro gets here after work. I don't want to have to reschedule her appt, this is the second appt I've made for her, but don't want bro to risk his life taking us there. I hate winter with a passion!!!

calmself, congratulations on day 72. you’re well versed for your interview.
Kaily pleased you’re getting better. I’m ok thanks, just coughs and sneezes. You’d think it was spring with all the allergies I’m having. Then again it might be early seeing as you’ve cut your grass.

It's interesting, when it storms here, I have the worst time getting on line. I keep losing my connection. One tech guy told me the old cables rust out and they have a lot of issues with the wet and snow. I'm sure that's part of it at least. I lost my internet for 3 days once during a storm in the San Francisco area!!! Unbelievable. If all these techies have to live here and drive up real estate, etc. to astronomical levels, at least they could make the internet reliable. LOL!!!!
My internet problems seem to have been resolved. At least, for now...
Billie is lying on her blankie while covered with the other one. The sight of her all covered up just fills me with great joy. And her vet appt went well. The roads were bad and we were a bit late but she was seen anyway. They took blood for her life stage blood panel. Said they'd call me tomorrow with the results. Kind of nervous in case there's anything worrisome. I will pray that all her results are normal.
Feeling a bit better tonight than I was this morning.
Glad that Billie has recovered from her brief bout of throwing up yesterday. She's back to normal, eating and drinking and eliminating as she should.
Hoping all of you had a good sober weekend.

Hiya Weekenders
calmself, you’ve a head start, being sober.
Least pleased you got to the vets for Billie’s appointment. Snow is lovely from inside but not so good traveling in it.
Had a pretty hectic and tiring day yesterday. Mum in law has vertigo which is horrible in itself but with Alzheimer’s in the mix was very confusing for her. Her sister stayed over last night as she can’t be on her own until these meds kick in and help her. Mr. Mags is staying over tonight if needed.
Have a good, sober day!

Thanks, Mags! It has been years since I studied so much. My head feels really heavy and I am truly exhausted. I will take rest now.
Congrats everyone for your milestones and wishing you all a sober day! End of Day 72 for me - Good night from foggy Seattle.

(((Mags))) You and Mr Mags are so good to your mil. She is lucky to have your help.
I just took Billie out and she performed as desired. Now she is lying down, covered with her blankie, all snug and warm.
You're right about the snow. Pretty to look at, and sparkly, but so difficult to travel in. Bro drove very slowly going out and back.Slid a couple times but otherwise kept the car under control.
Vertigo is awful. I had that once and it was horrible. My doctor gave me a scrip that helped the symptoms go away. I hope mil's meds quickly do the trick.

Thank Mags, getting much better and only looking a little oriental now. How are you doing?
Least my dogs sleep with me too. Alfie under the duvet and Daisy under the bed. Alfie won't allow her on it .
Calmself you sound incredibly organised. A nice way to be.
AthensDawgs well done on resisting the av. Nothing to be gained and a lot to be lost. Keep that strong commitment.
The dogs and I went for a 2 hour countryside walk yesterday. Then when I got home I cut the grass, just to tidy it up a bit. Our mild weather means it never seems to stop growing.

Sorry your allergies are playing up Mags. Do you think your cats possibly trigger them? Not that you would be without them, I know.
Glad your MIL has plenty of support and it can be shared between you all a bit.
Weekenders is very quiet these days ..

Mags Thinking of you.
Going to see mom this morning a little later. Her roommate was really hostile when the doctor came in and she directed it at me. I'm just pulling back. It's so hard having her in there. I have to say she seems like she's trying hard and I think she wants to come home. I want her home too.
Love and peace to you all.

She apologized to me this morning for which I thanked her. I almost always accept apologizes that are sincere and I apologize when I act like a jerk, or try to. So, I think she was just having a bad day. Everyone wants to go home.
