Born in New Jersey but moved to Northern California when I was young. Spent many summers and Christmases back East (NY, Maine and of course NJ and the Jersey Shore) moved to Los Angeles after college for 8 years and have been back in the Bay Area for the last 15.

Cannot wait to see Australia one day and very much looking forward to England/Ireland/Scotland
Can ya not forget Wales, please?! We always get left out and we’re a beautiful country with a unique heritage, culture and language! We’re part of the UK, too! ☹️

It was once left off a world map! (No idea how they accidentally managed that as it’s very much part of the island that makes up the bulk of Great Britain). Only other country I’ve heard of that happened to was New Zealand! And yeah - often forgotten, people mention England, Scotland and Ireland by name but not Wales and it’s such a shame as we have just as rich a culture as the other countries - I mean, we have a dragon on our flag?! I’m very proud to be Welsh as you may tell, and would love more people to visit! It’s a great place.

This makes me so happy! I’m so glad your cousin enjoyed it, and I live in Cardiff. It’s a small city but it’s a beautiful place to live and very friendly. Yay for your cousin haha 🙂

Ohhh it's so so beautiful there! I once drove up from London and spent a few days in Kinlochewe, stayed at the hotel. Drove all around exploring. Man it was sooo awesome! So remote, so stark and gorgeous. Hills covered in Scotch Broom (springtime).. And warm inside the pub, with delicious food, haha. I love Scotland. I love the UK!

Welsh people have beautiful singing voices, so I've heard.

Wish I could figure out the rhyming slang.

Wish I knew where was "The Mitten".

Steely, the mitten is Michigan. The lower peninsula looks like a giant mitten. Most of my family is still there.

Thanks Free2beme. Least. I'm going to check out Michigan out on the map right this moment.

All I could think of was a nursery rhyme when I was a child. Kittens, and mittens. Can't remember the rest.

Hmmm. Michigan does look like a mitten. 🥊

Well, that a boxing glove, but a bit similar. Rock on Michigan.

Sounds like the highway for me.

Used to travel AC DC's "Highway to Hell". I don't know, but always imagined this as the "Hume Highway", the Highway on which I lived when young. AC DC played in venues there before they became famous. It was pretty rugged, that's for sure. A few dead bodies stashed away there, I'd imagine. 😬

So many places I want to go, see. Baton Rouge comes to mind. Sometimes think travelling Australia should be my first stop. So much beauty, just as in USA. Wish they'd stop chopping down all the trees tho. Poor little Koalas.

Sorry if I've interrupted this thread, got to dreaming.
I made a pilgrimage to The Crossroads....not the touristy Crossroads, the real Crossroads south of Dockery's Farms. It was amazing. Just two dirt roads and fields. No Robert Johnson t shirts, no Clapton knockoff guitars, just quiet. No sign of the devil however. I was there during the day, so that may have been a factor.
