Reaching out is hard, especially for people like me who are extremely introverted. I keep almost everything to myself. My parents and sister know I am an alcoholic, but they never really knew how bad it was on any given day or month, and I have been so dishonest about it that they likely have no idea just how bad it was for so long.
I too am almost 3 weeks in now. This is the first place I've really reached out. It can't hurt to start, right?

Withdrawal sucks. Glad I got some meds to help take the edge off a bit. But it still sucks
I promised myself that my last withdrawal was it. That I was done. It was so dumb to start drinking again. I just hope I make it safely through this one and then never pick up again.
