The Road less trodden, Weekenders 22 - 25 January 2021
Hi everyone, back after a short hiatus. Not drinking I hasten to add. Just been feeling a bit blah, a bit triggered and dealing with by withdrawal into myself.
Not nice to just disappear without trace. Apologies.
Anyway gotta come back with some snowy dog pics.

Oh my goodness!! So good to see Kaily in the thread. Those pictures are interesting. It occurs to me that in the snow we mortal humans can visually see that many other people and animals have been there because of the footprints. Alfie and Daisy deal with that all day every day with their acute sense of smell. They always know lots of people and other animals were there.
I've left this site for long periods of time before. When I take time off I don't read this thread at all. SR is a difficult forum to read on a daily basis. So much angst right at the surface. That's tough stuff to be hit with over and over.
Everyone does what they have to do to cope and then to connect. Now, if Sao would come back too that would be awesomesauce.

Bim, many times when I read a thread, I’m lost for words what to say and I notice you have a good way with you at replying.
Just got the call for my first part of Covid vaccine this Saturday afternoon.
Sunny here for a change. I’m not sure it’s warm enough for drying laundry though.

Yay for the Covid jab, Mags.
I still have to wait for three weeks and then hope and pray the doses are there when I drive 20 miles ...I'm trying to stay positive. We're all in this together.
on the posting. Most of the time what I want to say I can't say.

Thanks everyone, it's nice to be back.
Yes Alfie loves a deer or fox scent to follow. His nose goes to the ground and off he runs, Daisy on the other hand just rolls in it.
Wow Mags, you must be pleased. What good news that is. Mine won't be for several months yet but that's fine.
Heron on my walk today.

Kaily, Heron fishing? You’re very close to her.
Bim over here instead of a 21 day gap between vaccines there’s now a 12 week gap between vaccines, unless they’ve changed it again in the last couple of days. They want to inject as many people as they can with the first vaccine to get some protection, hopefully.
Kaily, Mr. Mags is the same, probably be March/April or more before he can have it. As long as everybody who wants it, gets it. 🙏

Nice pictures, Kaily!
Glad to see you back.
I'll be glad when this week is over. I'm getting my very first Covid test tomorrow. They are making it mandatory for us to get tested every two weeks at work if we are going to work in the office. And I have started going to the office almost every day for a few hours now. I decided that my mental health was suffering a little and that I need to have a better routine, so getting up and getting ready for work at the same time every day will help that. I still don't see very many people, but yesterday I did get to talk to a couple of co-workers who happened to also be here at the same time, and it was really nice. There were issues we got worked out that might not have even been discussed if we had not seen each other. As much as I have liked working form home (my productivity is actually better) there's something to be said for being in the office, too. I wish this flexibility to work from home some of the time would continue after the pandemic settles down, but I don't think it will for me.
