Thank you all for caring about someone you don’t know!

We've never met and probably never will. But you might be surprised about how well I "know" you, by having a drinking history similar to yours.

Very proud of you! I had some aches & pains I didn't notice while drinking, but things settled down after a while. Hope you get some quality sleep soon.

Officially into my 5th day! A bit of a slog but eating like a horse. Had totally lost my appetite the past few weeks and this is a pleasant surprise. This support group has been awesome!

are you eating a lot of sugar lately? I ask because some people in recovery do that to compensate. I sure did and I had aches and pains coming out of nowhere. Come to find that sugar can cause major inflammation.

Congrats! Day 1-2 was always the worst for me, just the anxiety that comes with drinking so good that you've made it that far....at some point it will start to get easier.

Five days sober means that you're likely thru the worst of the physical withdrawal, but still be careful and get medical help if you feel 'off'. Getting sober is the best thing I've ever done for myself. And tho I've been sober for 11 yrs on Tuesday, I have never once woken up and wished that I had drank the night before.

Made it a week and looking and feeling awesome! On to tomorrow, one day at a time! Had dinner with a friend who ordered 2 beers...told him I hope he’s drinking both and I am driving. Blew his mind and he changed his order to iced tea! Boom!

AA is on zoom 24/7. Go to AA Home Group online. I am on there for several meetings each day--just to see people and have that type of contact.
