Made it to 2 weeks
Day 14, thanks for the encouragement yesterday! I held on.
this time may be different. I've had probably a dozen day 1s, but only 3 day 14s, and I don't think the 2nd one counted because that was after surgery and I was just waiting to give up pain meds so I could start again. This iS different.
I was hear the first time but hadn't figured out that I needed to make the decision to.stop and do it for me.
I've reread some of my posts, is everyone completely narcissistic in the early days? I never say I so much IRL.

Congrats on 2 weeks
I don't think its necessarily narcissistic to speak about yourself so much - I hadn't spoken about myself honestly for 2 decades before I got here.
Talking about ourselves is basically what the forums here for anyway - that and for us to help others

Don’t worry about feeling narcissistic! I frequently say I’m Superman because I stopped drinking
We’ve all been there in beating our old records, so you’re right to be pleased with yourself. Hang on a few more weeks and you’ll be amazed to find you feel a lot better.

people keep telling me the early days are hard. They're right, hard, but not impossible.
Best wishes to you, thank you for commenting
we're here in this community to work on ourSELVES....
and we really cannot do that without also talking and sharing about ourselves.
No narcissism in that, if you ask me.
Congrats on 14 days! That's a strong milestone for sure!

14 days is great Raevyn. Very well done. Early on you really do need to focus on what is going on in your mind and with your body and it can feel a bit narcissistic. But it isn't. The focus on self is long-neglected work towards health and wellness. I believe that unless your relationship with yourself is the most important relationship in the house, all other relationships will suffer. And, a focus on self and sharing with others allows you to really examine your own views and beliefs, fears and wishes, and perhaps make some needed changes there too. You are doing fantastic at 2 weeks!!
