Morning Weekenders

Leigh, WoW! 250 languages spoken in London. I’m flabbergasted. I wonder how many different languages there are in the whole world?

Saou, thanks, I love seeing the pics you, Andy and Kaily put on of the London I’ve never seen. and then being able to research them on the internet. I just noticed it’s in Bermondsey. We hired a stall once in Bermondsey antique market, many many moons ago. It was quite an experience.

It’s fish and chip delivery today. We don’t usually have them every week but it’s a nice treat whilst we’re shielding.

Take care and please be safe. xxxx

Had a beautiful sky last night. My photo doesn’t do it justice.

Morning all

I have been having a flare up of my ME the last few days so have been daytime sleeping a lot. It is a horrible thing, I could barely walk round the block yesterday. Just totally exhausted with headaches, even making a cup of tea is a big effort. I think Alfie is glad of the rest but getting a bit bored of me resting. Hopefully it will level out soon, probably overdid it with the rose bush fiasco, long walks and stress.

Enjoy your fish and chips Mags.

Happy healthy Wednesday all.

That's a great pic Mags! Bermondsey antiques market is still going (until the lockdown)

I hope you recover soon Kaily. Sending positive vibes your way.

Afternoon All. Just a quick one Mags, I think at least half of those languages are different dialects of English. Catch up a bit later.

Kaily, I'm sorry to hear you are in pain. That's the worst. I would come and make tea for you if I were closer - well, and if we weren't locked down. I hope you start feeling better.

Hope you feel better soon, Kaily.

Not much to report here. Lots of rain over the past couple of days, which makes my new landscaping plants happy. The grass seed they spread is starting to sprout, so pretty soon the straw they put down will be grown over and things will start to really look nice.

I got inspired to add a small flower bed to my back yard over last weekend, and to put up a trellis for climbing roses or something else (morning glories, clematis?) on the side of my storage shed. I have to design and build the trellis myself, because it's just how I roll. I can't find a pre-made one I like, and I like tinkering with that sort of stuff. The flower bed is dug and tilled up, thanks to the help from my man friend. I have the edging blocks and wood to build the trellis ordered, and will pick them up curbside later today. I ordered from Home depot. There are two locations kind of near me, and neither one had both the wood and the edging blocks in stock, so I have to go to both. Kind of a pain, but a good way to give my poor car a bit of a run. I have not filled my tank since all of this started, and I still have about a quarter tank. One location is about 10 miles away, the other is about 20. Thankfully they are both in the same general direction. So that will be my project for the next several days. Then I have to figure out what to plant!

Kaily, hope your flare up subsides and vanishes quickly. I had to look up ME, too. Really sorry that you suffer from it.

Mags, nice sunset photo!

and YAAAAy, the baby gorilla, Kitoko, is back with his Mom and the clan! Great news. Hope he continues to heal well.

MLD, your new porch, walkway and landscaping look great. I especially like the bordered bed within the bed. A nice fresh, clean look!
