Checking in and I have 9 months sober tomorrow. Feeling a bit strange but I made my first amends today (mom) and had a productive day.
I am not sure why I am feeling off but I am. Anyways, I am happy and grateful to be sober and grateful to have you all.
Goodnight
Nic.

Checking in. I hardly ever post anymore, but I do lurk from time to time and appreciate this community. I am more than 5 years sober, and very content in sobriety. In the early months I posted a lot, asked a lot of questions, and struggled to find a framework for understanding what I was going through. It has become so much easier over time. Alcohol is just not a part of my life now and I rarely think about it.
I'm fortunate in this Covid time that I can work from home, so my life is not too terribly disrupted. My heart is heavy at times worrying about loved ones and worrying about people I don't even know, who are suffering ... but then my spirit is lifted when I see goodness and kindness coming from so many.
If you're new and struggling, just know ... a brighter future awaits. Not every problem disappears instantly and magically, but my capacity to solve problems got so much better. My mind, heart and spirit are so much better off without alcohol.

I haven't been on here in a few months but so far I am doing okay. Some stress at times. Work has been closed since mid March, I live on the NY metro area which has been hit really hard by the Corona. Hopefully I can get back to work soon. 1135 days sober today and grateful.! Hope everyone else is making it okay and if not can stay on here for support.
Hi Dee
Great thread, thanks for posting!
Checking in from central USA, working around the house, unpacking and settling in from a recent move. So grateful we moved into a bigger place prior to stay-at-home orders.

Doing great Dee! Can honestly say I’ve never been happier. Admittedly, I have not posted as much as I did in the beginning but I believe that is a good thing. When I got sober, I was so lost. I’ve regained control of my life and simply don’t have time for everything I want to get accomplished in any given day. What a feeling!
Just had to count. Today marks 18 weeks. Can’t believe it. You and the great people here saved my life.

Posted a couple of times today after a break of four to five months. Still sober (16 months). I’m definitely out of the habit of drinking, but I know for sure one small drink would probably send me back to old ways within days.
Re: Hey You! Check In!
Hey everyone,
I haven't checked in or posted for a while although I am still lurking.
Family and I are now in Canada. I'll be 9 years sober in October.
Be well & stay in.
