I'll check in. Haven't been posting much lately. About a month sober and cravings are minimal. Covid is currently at its worst where I live. Money is very tight. Lots of stress but I feel great physically.
A bit of snow here today too. Not looking forward to that lol.

Hello, Dee and SR!
Today marks a healthy anniversary for me: four years as a nonsmoker. Yay!
Several months into COVID-19, I decided 2020 had to be about something more than fear, anger and frustration. My answer: hiking! I've been doing it regularly and enjoying more than I could have imagined. My own big milestone was 17.5 miles in three days on trails near Lake Superior. It's a change that will endure well beyond this year.
I'm a little over seven years sober. SR played an instrumental role in that.

so here is my update, I now have over 5 years without a drink, and I feel very grateful for that, I check SR every other week but don't post much. I'm not engaged in recovery as I used to, nowadays I focus more on my fitness and mental health issues. Also 2 years free from cigarettes/nicotine!

Hope it’s ok to post on here, just wanted to update! Eight days sober! Had a really strong and annoying AV yesterday and spent most of the day in an anxiety attack, but I muscled through with lots of quiet time and hugs from my hubs. Just got to keep reminding myself that my AV is nothing but a dirty, two timing, LIAR! Thanks guys and I hope all of you are doing amazing and finding that thing in your life to stay sober for!
Checking in I read the boards everyday but I haven't posted for a while. I have had some health issues (nothing life threatening) and have been more of a wallflower in life rather than a participant in life. I think I am on the upswing for now.
My next soberversary will be 6 years (Jan 1, 2021) and no matter what else is happening in my life - I am happy, happy, happy to be sober.

Hey, there--checking in! I am hanging in there re: COVID and am eager for the American election to be done with! I will have 5 years of sobriety on December 23 and am looking forward to that milestone. I hope everybody is doing okay and staying sober--I love you, SR family!
