Double digits
I know its not much but I'm waking up to day 10. I look and feel way better. Somewhere along the line I lost that "off" feeling and feel myself again. Now I just need to make it stick long term. So glad I got out of that rut. Its 10 am. I would have been drinking for at least 3 hrs by now, at least a half pint of rum would have been gone. Well over $100 still in my wallet. SR played a huge part. I was just going to cut out the rum and stick to beer. Thanks to you guys I decided to quit outright. Enjoy your day.

Congrats!!
my day 10 is tomorrow. I always consider doubt digits as a milestone. I've a few....day 7, day 10(double digits), day 14,21,etc. So far my longest is 35 days but I'm really pushing to make it permanent this time round

Good morning, Abraham.
For the "normal" people out there who aren't alcoholic, ten days might not sound like a big deal, but to us here, your fellow alcoholics, ten days is just huge. I am so glad you're discovering what it's like for your words and actions to match. That is definitely something to be proud of. I'm proud for you. What I still find amazing today after my years of sobriety is I'm still earning my wonderful life one day at a time. Thank you for sharing so much. I hope you have a blessed day.

For folks that dont know this is my first real quit. I quit for 2 weeks once before only because I was afraid I would be caught. I was on probation for a dui. Once I found out how it worked I went back to drinking. this time I am doing it because I want to quit. It feels totally different.
10 days, great job.
Def avoid beer. It is not innocuous. Beer is the only thing I was drinking all year and it was enough to send my life right down the drain because i still drank a hell of alot of beer, enough to make me throw up and pass out at the end of every session.
Consider also that the skid row bums you see on the sidewalk are all drinking beer. So that should tell you something right there.
