Very stressed

Very stressed today at work got very wound up by bad family relationships.

On the the plus side I am 3 weeks sober today and have not resorted to drinking alcohol.

A stressful day would always in the past lead to drinking. This would make a stressful day into a bad night and a terrible morning and even more stress.

Thank god I no longer use stress as an excuse to drink.

I'm glad you got through that. Stress is easier to deal with in recovery.

Glad you havenít had a drink. Alcohol really doesnít help, though it seems as though it will.
Hang in there.

I am bumping up against plenty of stress at work now, too, so I feel with you. I tell myself that this wave will soon be past, and things will go as well as I can try to make them happen. Not drinking definitely helps.
