I was just a normal kid until I took my first drink at ten years of age. It was a wonderful feeling, so good that I put so much effort into trying to relive it that it almost killed me by 22.

I can't really say what I did before alcohol and drugs.. I was 14 and by myself when I 1st got drunk and it slowly progressed from there. I was shy and didn't have a lot of friends so I guess I had social anxiety which alcohol seemed to help with. I always worked hard and threw myself into work over the years, I don't do that now as am not putting in extra time and effort and getting taken advantage of as I have done in the past. So now I have to discover who I am without substances. Life feels strange when there is lots of time to be productive but you don't know what to do with the time..
