I'm not gonna make it!
I'm so glad you went to the hospital Ghoster. That infection could have got much worse. You don't need to drink. You just have to learn how to live life sober. I was at an AA meeting yesterday and this young guy had lost everything through drugs and was at risk of jail. He said his freedom was all he had left and even that may be taken away. Keep pushing forward. God helps those who help themselves. Use this time to rest up and then think about what changes you can make to your life. For me it is not drinking, going to AA and taking up reading and exercise again. For now that is enough and as I feel better I will add more. Hope you find the path that works for you.

Time and Distance!! Make all the difference for sure!!
The meeting had 17 guys it was a main share SAA meeting with a Big Book focus extremely inspiring and uplifting I shared on the importance of connection with others, real human interaction and identification with other addicts most of whom are in recovery!! I get that in here and I experienced it tonight too at the meeting.

Hello, Ghoster.
Way to go! You've come a long ways already comparing your post today to last week. I did those same things you've enumerated above, and those steps have blessed me with 20 years and 9 months sobrer today; prayer, Big Book, sponsorship, and meetings. I'm glad you're feeling better physically, mentally, and spiritually.
