Day 18

Doing pretty well on day 18. I’m on day 7 of 30 days rehabbing from surgery which makes things a little more complicated, but I’m hanging in there. Cravings getting less and pass in time. So grateful each time I don’t give in.

Day 18 is superb - really superb! I drank throughout my surgical recovery period last year. You should be proud. I'm sure you'll heal much faster. YAY. Hang in there.

Thx! It was an iffy choice to choose to have surgery and downtime so early in my sobriety. It could have backfired and led to relapse but so far so good.

Keep building on the momentum. 18 is a great number. It amazes me how fast 18 becomes 25 becomes 50 becomes math is hard.

Congratulations! Are you up and about? I got 72 days last year during rehab from a broken leg I earned while drunk...then I went out to dinner.

So take care. It's so easy to say "no."

Yes, 18 finally feels like a solid number. I was sort of stuck for awhile on the 5’s, 8’s, 11’s etc.

I am up and about. It’s just that I cannot exercise for another 23 days, and that was a huge part of my recovery. I guess there is always walking 😕.

I know walking is great, it’s just that I was an avid runner 😁. Just wanted to clarify so in no way put down the walkers.

My issue is my feet and I'm facing 2 surgeries this year.. I would be happy to walk pain free right now. However, I can conceivably hope for a slow jog next year. . You're doing great. The days are adding up. Day 19 already!

Yep, now Day 19. It’s amazing how much easier it is to rack up days compared to the beginning when I was dealing with such strong cravings. Now each day is so much easier craving wise to get through.

Huge. Great stuff.

Walk. It's wonderful. I hate it. At least, at first. The thought of it. But it never fails that after about 5 minutes I find it awesome. And the low intensity allows my brain to let go of some things and not be under constant agony. (You can probably tell I'm not a big fan of exercise... ) Every. Single. Time. by the end of a good walk I feel refreshed mentally.

Keep trucking. So glad to have a someone else in my same general timeframe with this around...
