Hi

This is my first post on this site. I was sober for a year and a half. Somethings changed which were not in my control. I went back to drinking. I am now trying to fix and go back to becoming sober. I need support and motivation. I still struggle with drinking every evening and next day, it is a horrible feeling. I saw great posts here. Hope to get into the sober mode.

Thank you

Welcome iwill. This site is awesome and so are you for posting!!

You have been sober before, so you know you can do it and you know it’s worth it. You just have to make the decision between ‘one day’ and ‘day one’.

I’m looking forward to hearing about your journey!

Hey iwilltryagain,

As Komplex said, this place is awesome. Please check out the other threads and stories of others who've experienced what you're going through. I get the 'situation out of my control' scenario also; my attempts always seemed to result in alcohol abuse.

You're in the right place. These folks understand and will support your pursuit of sobriety.

Thanks for sharing and welcome!

Best,

T.

Thank you so much for the support.

Which is the best forum to post daily posts if I have to? I saw there are too many forums. Appreciate your help.

Thanks

Welcome to the family. You can post anywhere you like. The only exceptions are the men's and women's forum being specifically for men or women.

Good idea to join the March class.

Evening,
Have a warm bath ..get cosy ..good book..cheesy tv ..just try & keep distracted..
I've spent many an evening on here reading posts ..knowing that your not alone I always thinks helps.
Get some good food in as well.
Make a plan of action for tomorrow..
I really feel for you...it utterly sucks ..especially weekends ..always seem the toughest.
Keep posting xx

It was so hard to admit there was nothing in it for me any more - it was never fun or relaxing in the end. I hope you've reached that point. Never stop trying for a better life. You can do it.

Hi I will tryagain

posting here and asking for help before I drank saved my butt a few time. You could do worse on a weekend

varying your routine can help too - I felt like I either had to hang with my drinking buddies or sit at home alone - two pretty poor choices...

but in fact there was a world full of things to do on any given weekend that I could do sober and have fun at

do you have any kind of recovery plan - the nuts and bolts of how you might stay sober?

https://www.soberrecovery.com/forums...very-plan.html (What exactly is a recovery plan?)
