Strangely that wasn't one of them but apparently I say "come on I ain't got all day" on a regular basis along with ""don't eat the yellow snow" when asked something I don't know the answer to and "cor! yes please!" when asked if I want tea or coffee. I was also told that I am always late for meetings meaning people have to start from the beginning again, that I hoard stationary, sing along badly to the radio and that I owe the swear box several million pounds.

I wish i'd never asked.

(((((Sao)))))

We appreciate you around here, that’s for sure!

To hell with those “incompetent jackanapes” in the workplace! (Heard that in a movie once).

I guess I'm in too? Not sure how this works but I'm at day one and it's been a looong time since I've gone a full weekend without wine. So here I am and glad to be here. I'm drinking my 7 up right now and looking forward to pizza with the family later. I can't wait to wake up on a Saturday without a hangover. Family time, church on Sunday, and lots of keeping busy!

PS; anyone know how to change the time on posts to put it in my time zone?

Meat Pie made by S, my female tenant:

(Don’t worry—I won’t be drinking any wine).

Last time I’ll bore you with details of my evening.

The meat pie was absolutely phenomenal: really thick, rich, and extremely tasty. I was told the custom was to eat it with ketchup, but I thought the flavor ought not to be covered up.

My hosts put on some genuine Aussie music as we dined:

And the Pavlova was out of this world! This time the meringue was not hard as a rock! I didn’t know egg whites could have so much flavor!

Everybody gave a thumbs up to the ANZAC Biscuits because they were nice and golden and crisp!

After the Pavlova, the other guest handed each of us a Korean chocolate-filled creampuff.

That did me in!

Tee hee!

For the first Saturday in ages it is a half decent morning and I am eating a late breakfast by the canal. Hangover free Saturday mornings are the bomb.

Yes! Saturday mornings are lovely without a hangover! First one in a very long time. Slept well besides the tossing and turning...it was good sleep. Looking forward to clearing the cobwebs and beginning to get my house back in order. Happy day to all!

man, I want some Aussie food today, especially that dessert.

I woke up feeling a little stressed, not sure why exactly... Trying to get my optimism back! Any tips for boosting the spirits without the spirits from you wise weekenders?

When I find my mind brooding and I can’t pull myself up by my bootstraps, I say “Now for something completely different” and put something outlandish on TV. Sometimes it doesn’t even have to be outlandish—just any movie or show that will capture my attention and distract me pleasantly.

Television/entertainment is great as an immediate, emergency diversion for a troubled mind.

For a long term recovery solution, I have found hobbies, schooling, and volunteering to give my life purpose.
