We LOVE “Curb” at our house! The first time I saw it I couldn’t make it through a whole episode because the cringing was too intense!

Morning. Another week begins here, I hope everyone is OK, Sah my fingers are crossed for you.

Dragon, I have heard that a number of red phone boxes have been converted to high end shower units.

What kind of an old car is it Sao ?
I like "fiddling" around with old cars and motorbikes too.

It was so much easier to change a light bulb and a battery in the past !
I miss that (feeling old now )

My older brother just text me from ireland to tell me he is going into rehab for 12 weeks tomorrow morning. First time he has ever done anything like that.

I think its the best news I got from him in the last few years.

What Dee said. I can remember seing one or two as a kid but in London at least they were taken down soon after they went out of service to prevent vandalism.

This is what Wiki says:-

That is good news about your brother Vman,
12 weeks isreasonable amount of time too. I have often seen people saythey are going fo 30 days, sometimes even less and thought that that is probably not enough time.

Vman it was something called a De Thomaso Deauville, a four door saloon/sedan. They are very rare but so far at least they are not worth huge amounts of money and I am not sure about the one we looked at.

One good thing would be that if you are the owner of one you will never see another - I have never seen one on the road.

Maybe it's just me, but a shower the size of a phone box does not sound all that "high-end." Give me a 10 X 10 (square feet for you Brits) rain-nozzle-huge-window-with-bench-and-maybe-stereo and now we're talkin'. Bonus if there's room for a Jacuzzi in the room as well.

I'm not going to have a drink today. I'm absolutely sure of that.

SAH, please let us know how you are doing.

It is a non runner Vman so no V8 roar at the moment. It is a Ford V8 however so parts are pricey these days but not ruinously so.

bim, I think I meant overpriced/ contemporary/gimmicky/flashy maybe rather than strictly high end. For folks with more money than sense.

Hometime

Tomorrow no underground trains due to strikes

Have a good walk Sao.

Thanks D, i cant really describe how worried I was about him.
I will be going to Ireland at the end of the month. I will be going to see him.

Biminibluie; I was a lurking one for a long time on this thread. I dont really know why now. l... suppose sometimes you just have to dive in. I think it was because everyone seemed to have really aced it and had years of sobriety, there was a fraternity kind of thing in the undertones and I didnt feel "legitimate" with my two months, then 5 months, then 3 months...
Only thing i know is that AV seems to pop up at weekend for me, especially friday evenings. This thread has helped me with that. Its a great thread.

And you folks aren't too bad either
