Unbelievable!
Unbelievable!
Today I have 80 days!
Life has been, well, lifelike.
Yesterday was a brutal day not really knowing where my child was having to be evacuated. My ex is really not interested in co-parenting like a decent, normal person. No real shocker there. But, I accepted it. I just prayed and went to bed early.
Today I know my child is safely out of harms way.
I cannot completely believe I am even at 80 days. Feels amazing.
Thank you friends here.
Keep hanging in those who are deciding to quit/withdrawling.
I relapsed so many times until I was finally just done. So grateful.
Have a good weekend!
Jules

Jules,
80 days sober is well over the physical addiction.
It is all mental now.
My biggest challenge is when I get around normies and actives.
They drink so happily. The av tricks us.
Then we come back here or to AA and get told we just lost all our clean time. It sucks.
Be ready for the temptation knowing the angst drinking , even 1 drink, will generate.
It caught me by surprise.
Stay sober for you.
Thanks.

Thanks everyone!
Yea, I don't hang around with drinkers or in places I should not go.
I'm heavily involved with AA and am dilligently working my program. And here. Always popping in here daily to at least read.
Life on life's terms. Simple.
Alcohol complicates.

That's really messed up that your ex wouldn't have the decency to let you know what's going on in an emergency situation. I'm sorry you had to go through that. I would be beside myself.
Congrats on 80 days! That's awesome

Youve done right by yourself. Be proud of your accomplishment, and be confident in your new timeline. It's for the best.
D122.. youve got to stop beating yourself up on the "mistake". Be proud to start again with a clean slate. I blew 1.5 years if sobriety in much the same fashion as you, only i used it as an excuse to continue-- huge mistake.

How much did you drink and for how long after 1.5 years?
Curious.
PM me.
I am still healing for sure.

Thanks.
