I don't know how to keep going.
erfra,
i don't know you, other than from this thread.
but clearly you have been around a while.
your comments about AA , fellowship and sponsor jumped out at me. i wonder if you have done the work suggested in the program?
as far as meetings, and running into intolerance and worse, yes, i have met some such folks.
but you live in Coquitlam, and the Lower Mainland has somewhere between 6-700 different meetings every week. no shortage of meetings; if you see value in following the suggestions and implementing the actual steps, then throwing AA aside because of a few prejudiced or just plain nasty people seems like throwing the baby out with the bathwater, yknow?

The las t part make smile
And yes you are right, I will not let go of AA . I will be doing different meetings I just let go of my home group.
hey erfra....ever considered doing some 'service'?
as i said, i only know this thread, so maybe you've talked about hat somewhere else.
'service' is not just a cornerstone of AA, but really is part of pretty much all spiritual traditions.
and just makes plain good psychological sense and usually helps combat that feeling of worthlessness.
just a thought.

Yesterday was a good day I have a BBQ at blue mountain park in Coquitlam to say bye to my oldes son he is moving to Nanaimo. All my kids were there and some friends lots of little ones of which 4 are my grandkids. Oh and 2 ex wife and one ex girlfriend.
Sobriety as is best.

erfra, I totally understand how you feel about meetings. There can be really weird people sometimes. Check out different meetings, and you might find a better group you "click with."
Please keep writing. I'll read and respond!
