welcome, jaxson.
One immediate thing that can work well is simple distraction, such as going for a walk, doing the dishes, watching a movie.
what worked for me was to not struggle, but to just accept it as it came and know it would leave, and watch myself go through it.
there is a thread up above called CarolD's tips for cravings...you might well find something of use to you there.
way to go on posting and connecting;getting and staying connected with others has been hugely beneficial to me.
hope you stick around.
You will figure out how the forum 'works' in no time flat, guaranteed

Hi jaxson, nice to meet you. Our Chat room is down at the moment.
I'm sorry to hear you've had an emotional week. Take a look around, we have some very helpful threads, and a very supportive community.

Welcome Jaxson. You have found a wonderful forum to be involved with. This is not a chat however. I think they have scheduled chat sessions or something but nobody is online in chat all the time that I am aware of. I tried and I can not launch the chat myself because it requires java and I am really not interested in loading it on my computer. I could be wrong however, since I never used it.
Welcome to SR, spend some time reading posts and post often yourself.
