I know how you are feeling! I had that hospital scare too and it was bad.
I was good for about 3 months and that craving kicked in and I had wine. Worst choice I've made in my life!
Nothing so far has really worked for me. I hope you have support and direction.
It's really hard when you don't.. Hugs!!

Day 7 done and dusted. I've been keeping really busy as I feel up to it. Now the physical cravings have died down it's much easier. I have a sober friend supporting me. The not being able to walk well is the scariest. So terrified of needing a walker. The hospital verified that I have some physical coordination problems caused by drinking. To me drinking is just a no go zone. Besides my stomach ulcers are playing up again. What a horrible way to die. Definitely not letting it happen.

Hi Sweetichick,

You have New week sober, that is fantastic. Are you still under doctor's care for the physical problems you are having? Is inpatient rehab or intensive outpatient a possibility for you to help to heal the emotional side of you.

Keep checking in with us.

Sending lots of love and prayers your way.

❤Delilah

Hold tight to that walker! Hopefully, without drinking, your body will mend. Our bodies are incredibly resilient.

Congrats on your week Sweetichick.

Try not to worry too much about the future - by stopping now you're giving yourself the very best chance of having no long term effects from your drinking

Good job on a week! Make sure you take it easy, and one day at a time. I'm glad to hear you are doing better.

I lost the plot and bought a bottle. Time for A a. Ready for bed now. Anxiety was overwhelming. Got a tradesman coming in to do tiles. Couldn't afford a night of no sleep. Maybe I do need rehab.

If you're really worried about having to use a walker you need to pour out the bottle now.

I think you should also make enquirers about rehab sweetichick -
a break for your day to day life might help kickstart something new?

There might be some government programmes you can use?

You need something. Doing it on your own isn't working. Health fears aren't keeping you sober, and fear of sobriety is keeping you drinking. You are like a drowning person who won't reach for the life preserver.

you are a danger to yourself. within three days of hospitalization after collapsing DUE to DRINKING, being informed you now have additional physical impairments DUE to DRINKING, you went and bought alcohol.

that is insanity.

there is help for this. and if ever anyone was in dire need of all the help possible, i'd say you are a very good candidate. simply put, you are going to kill yourself with the drink.

please get help.

I'm sorry things are so bad Sweetichick. It sounds like you really do need specialist and intensive help now. SR, AA and the determination that comes in the first few days after a relapse are clearly not enough for you. Please consider going for some intensive help.
