Sorry about the bad news Bananas but like many have said, having a clear and sober mind will lead to a better outcome for you and your family than drinking again will.

Best of luck with the job search!

3 years ago I was sitting in a doctors office with my 28 year old daughter. The doctor said, "I'm afraid I have bad news. The tests show she has stage 4 cancer and it is terminal. When asked how long, he said "likely around 6 months."

There are a lot of excuses to drink and even some good ones. The hell I have endured is beyond the words of any written language . I can say with certainty that there is no problem a drink won't make worse and 3 years later I still know the smartest decision I ever made was to give up drinking.

Life throws some mean curves no doubt about it but it is not about the hand we are dealt it is about how we play it

So eye opening to see how many of you have been in similar situations. It really is a tough time right now in this economy. I have been working on my resume and have not relapsed. Still have 70 days 😊

Very sorry to hear that Bananas.
But, this seems to be the best of times for you to stay sober.
I understand running to the drink for temporary relief.
But, as I look back it never really helped me to overcome my problems.
I have learned that -- facing these issues sober is always for the best.
