Dates and rules....
For me it's still like another galaxy.
I have tremendous trust issues.
My ex, who is considered a good guy overall, once, in the heat of our argument, called me a "good-for-nothing person" and "impotent" because I "let my mother die of cancer".
It's been about 6 years ago. I still can't get it out of my head.

Midnight ~ I'm sorry that happened love. 
I think it's very important to be careful of the words that fly out of our mouths in the heat of an argument. So many of us here have been abused, and are perhaps more vulnerable than the average bear...I am SO careful not to say things I can't take back. Things that wound deeply and forever. Because those things stay with me too...I don't want to do that to someone else.
So my rules are love, honesty and kindness.
I think it's very important to be careful of the words that fly out of our mouths in the heat of an argument. So many of us here have been abused, and are perhaps more vulnerable than the average bear...I am SO careful not to say things I can't take back. Things that wound deeply and forever. Because those things stay with me too...I don't want to do that to someone else.

This song empowers me...plus I LOVE it....plus it breaks my heart that the lead singer of Blind Melon was in recovery, got on a tour bus with another band, and one thing lead to another and he died of an overdose.

Midnight you are an amazing lady don't let no one tell you different x Feel a bit like droopy the dog today as my neice is packed I've got everything into her car I said I won't cry until she goes and she said il be back Friday to get my other stuff as it will take 2 trips getting there my eldest sister is going to stay with her for the first 3 days so she is cool & settled in

Morning everyone. Sorry to hear that MB.
Ready for a new work week here. The hurricane is off the coast so winds all day. Maybe a little rain they are not sure. Long Island where I used to live looks to be getting it good due to the length of time in the same area.
Oh well... Read some and then off.

Sorry about the date situation Melina. I was going to say forget about him, he's obviously a **%&, but our resident sage eliminated the need for that with his zen advice. From a camp fire.....how cool is that!

Feel so depressed. Sun is shining, and I would honestly prefer rain to match my mood.

Good morning!
Waking up to storms this morning. The last thing we need here is more rain. It's been a wet summer. I'm mowing on the same schedule as I was in June. Usually by now the grass has pretty much gone dormant. Everything is still lush and green. I'm not really complaining, because I really hate winter.
Back to reality today. The long weekend was so nice.

Wish I could, MB. There is some flooding starting to happen here. Nothing serious, just ponding on streets and highways.
