I work nationwide and twelve hours a day so any kinda meeting would be impossible at the moment.

I'm broke at the minute but despite next month being a heavy bill month the amount of money left equates to £6 a day for food and shiz.
I imagine if I was drinking. I'd not be eating...at all
We can do this!

The extreme leg muscle pain of the last three days has gone away (thank feck!)
I thought giving up would be a lot harder for me after at least 12 units a day, every day, for at least five years.
But I seem to be taking it in my stride quite well.
I miss a beer with a movie and I really do miss the taste of my favourite cider (sadly no alcohol free Henry Weston's Private Reserve) but I don't CRAVE it.
I reckon that's a pretty big thing really.
I know it's just my brain associating movie with the dopamine release from alcohol so I can rationalise it, which for me, makes it easier

Was thinking of buying a beer on payday to try moderation.
Changed my mind thankfully, as I cant do moderation.
Its all or nothing for me.
Instead I'll buy an alcohol free bottle of wine lol

Yeah I think so for me.
90% of people in my company drink every day so whilst I am avoiding the pub lunches for a while, I have to face facts that I AM going to either become a social recluse or be around people who are drinking.
So, for me, I feel non alcoholic alcohol (with lunch in a pub) is the best way.
Its not something i'd drink at home

Two things today
1. Working nights is hard enough but I've been sleeping really well, waking up refreshed and clear headed.
Much less fatigue.
2. My roommate got drunk after work again, twice as much as usual.
To say he's struggling this morning is an understatement. I turned the TV on, and he turned it right down to volume 1.
Looking at 1 or 2, I much prefer 1

Then I'd wonder why I'd go out everytime and get 'real' beer.
I was still knee deep in old behaviours, and didn't even realise it.
As a former beer drinker I know it ticks all the boxes for me, and opens the door to old behaviour and old thought patterns.
I don't recommend it.
I don't need to know but maybe ask yourself why would you choose NA beer when there's so many other things to drink, though?

My experience is I don't drink NA beer because it looked like beer, felt like a can of beer, it smelt like beer, it had that same condensation thing on the can like a beer, the same fizz and foam when you pop the can, tasted like beer (kinda)....
Then I'd wonder why I'd go out everytime and get 'real' beer.

Soft drinks are way too sweet and hot drinks with hot meals don't go.
I feel like I can enjoy a non alcoholic alcohol with a meal without buying actual alcohol.

Roomie at it again, drinking a hell of a lot.
Its really surprising for me that when I was drinking, I never even paid it a second thought but when I see he's drank around 30 units between 8am and 5pm and that's a standard day, I'm actually shocked.
How did I not see this before?!
As for me, I feel good.
Not waking up feeling like I was licking a cat is a great feeling.
I think its day 17 now.
Some pretty heavy cravings this morning due to a bad mood (I have borderline personality disorder which is medicated which helps most of the time but not always) and I couldn't sleep well due to the mood.
Extra 5htp today me thins

Honestly, I've found not drinking alcohol really opened up my taste buds.
I can taste all the flavours - I wouldn't drink anything but sparkling water with a meal now.
Looks like you're determined tho & not worried about continuing old behaviours, so I hope the NA beer thing works for you

I never found an NA beer with anything approaching taste, but maybe they've gotten better in the last ten years.

Becks Blue is identical in taste to normal Becks I think.
You're spot on regarding taste buds changing though!
Green tea no longer tastes foul, coffee has a slight spice to it rather than just bitterness and although I never was a huge fan of sweet things, the few I have eaten recently are almost unbearably sweet.
Tis a weird thing to happen

Feeling well refreshed. Never slept so well working nights before.
Last night of work this week and then two nights off.
I'm really looking forward to getting **** done this weekend rather than waking up drinking until I pass out, waking up, buying more drink and then rushing to get things ready for the next week
