An unexpected bump in the road
Our wonderful venuscat. It is so brave of you to share this. It's easy to forget that the people who support us have difficult times too. But I believe you will have the best possible outcome. I hope that your plans aren't disrupted because your American friends must be eager to see you. I'm sorry yesterday was so bad, and I hope that today is better since you have shared your troubles. We are all here for you, so please ask if there is anything you need. Thanks for teaching us to live fearlessly and with grace.
Vunuscat, so sorry you are going through these tough times right now. I see hope and a good outcome for you. You are a strong person, a thoughtful and caring soul.
That's great news on your trip. As part of your extended family, we are here for you. I have found a home here at SR too, we are in this together.

Venus, I heaved a small sigh of relief as I read your post. I say small, because all in all, it's good news. Unfortunately there is still a question mark and you still have to wait and wait for more answers.
I like what you said about your running days being over. I completely agree with you. I think there comes a time when running, and even the thought of running, is more difficult and exhausting that dealing with whatever is coming along.
I continue to beam my good wishes and positive thoughts your way. Your spirit shines through in your posts and I know you will handle this, however things turn out.

I am very blessed. And I am very grateful. ♥
in the early days of my battle with cancer i printed this out and hung it by my computer
Fear knocked at the door; faith answered; no one was there." I don't know to whom this quote should be attributed, but it certainly indicates very clearly that fear is an illusion. I create the illusion myself.
I experienced fear early in my life and I mistakenly thought that the mere presence of it made me a coward. I didn't know that one of the definitions of "courage" is "the willingness to do the right thing in spite of fear." Courage, then, is not necessarily the absence of fear.
During the times I didn't have love in my life I most assuredly had fear. To fear God is to be afraid of joy. In looking back, I realize that, during the times I feared God most, there was no joy in my life. As I learned not to fear God, I also learned to experience joy.
wont say it got rid of my fears, but it helped.

this one,too
Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is error, the truth;
Where there is doubt, the faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled, as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
