What keeps me sober? Weekender July 29th Part 1
D
Good luck soberpotamus. Sounds like a hard day. But packing is the worst when you're tired. Sleep on it.
A woman announced at the AA meeting i attend that another woman had died this past week. I knew her. Not well. She'd periodically talk about her medical issues. Just couldn't stay sober though. She kept trying. It was a grim reminder.
Ice cream time. At least the fireworks stopped.

I am going to say goodbye everyone. I am tired of putting on a happy face and don't want to drag everyone down like I've been doing to my class.
I'll come back around when and if things improve.

SUID you're not bringing us down at all. Well, not me anyway and I don't think I'm speaking out of turn. You're down but it seems to me that a lot of it is negative self talk in terms of how you think it's impacting us. You've been awfully quiet lately. How about talking about what's going on? Instead of playing it in your head, thinking it's dragging things down
Morning everyone
A solid 8 hours sleep last night - superb
SUID if you are feeling bad then that is the most important time to post, please don't feel you have to be positive all the time. It might not help to put things down in black and white here (if you want to) but it might

I ran down to the Limehouse Basin this morning where the canal, the river Lea join the Thames. The first time flood control was attempted here was over 1200 years ago by Alfred the Great who built an earth dam, when the Vikings sailed their longships into the river Lea Alfred men tore down the dam and stranded the long ships.
