St. Patrick's Sober Weekender Thread Part 2
I'm still just trying to figure out if I can.
I tend to travel a lot- from what I can understand I can take a dog into USA with me for pacific coast trail, Appalachian tr, and grand canyon.
I'll be all by myself for those hikes and I'm thinkin a big ole' dog can't hurt.
Since I have gotten sober; I've turned into a backpacking, hiking freak.
I also kayak- if all goes well I can get a dog in the boat.
Like I said before- I'm kinda giving up everyone I know.
I went hiking today and wished I had a dog.
I'll make friends, but it might be slow.

I'd be surprised if it was slow, you seem like a very friendly person.
Another thing to consider, will you do much traveling where you can't take the dog? If so what are your plans for the dog?

I was hoping to go to burma and india/ as well as Morroco.
My ma would take care of anything I had.
I'm kinda outweighing pros and cons.
Mesa, cool score on the fencing! You can keep all the bumtrons out!
The meeting I attended was great, and now I'm having chicken soup as a nightcap.
I went to the library today and got a few books... It will be weird to go off the printed page, I've been downloading my books for a while now.
It's weird writing, too. I had to fill out an extensive application at a job today in addition to submitting my resume, and my hand hurt after. First world problems!
I'm starting with A Tale For The Time Being by Ruth Ozeki. I'll let you know what I think if anyone's interested.
I'm also thinking of not buying cigarettes after this pack. To at least try to go a couple days again without smoking. I know I'm a broken record on this. But I continue to be terrified of the health risks.

Sorry I was not around much this weekend. I was pretty down cuz of the tests Friday. But back to work today. Glad for that. Time to put myself in perspective and move on.
See you all later. Busy work day here. More than I can get done today so I need every minute I have.

Hi Weekenders,
When it rains it really pours. The police STILL have my phone How long do you need to download a 4min 8sec video FGS? To add to that I have cancelled my home internet link when I found out what speed I was actually getting as opposed to the speed I pay for so I am currently living in say 1997 so my posts will necessarily be a bit infrequent for the next day or two
I'm at work so didn't have time to read all the posts but hope your situation improves MesaMan and Venecia, I hope you too are feeling better today

Morning Enders!
Meh sleep. Anxious about my travel schedule. But I am in going into it in good shape physically, great shape emotionally/mentally, and fair shape professionally. I think that averages out to equal the galactic constant of "resilience"!! (Others here could have said something truly clever and funny, but this is all I've got!)
I have a million things to do before an overnight flight tonight, but I have them all planned out. You can do million things in 14 hours if you just sequence them correctly, right? Right??? Ok, staying calm. Breathing.
Talk to ya'll later!

Sao thanks for checking in! What a pain! The government is way too invasive. Hope you get your phone soon.
Have a good trip, bix! And yes...a million things can get done in 14 hours! You'll be fine
Work...dreading seeing someone this morning can't wait to get it over with.
Have a great day my fellow miscreants
