Screwedup, the guy has pulled so many inconsiderate moves that I just don't care.

I used to be the kind of person who helped, loved, supported everyone. Then when I needed something I got nothing. I think I was stretched so thin it stressed me out incredibly.

Now I'm all about me. First time ever

When I was 16 my best friend and I stole her dads car.
We drove all the way to San Francisco with no money.
We begged outside grocery stores, gas stations haha.
She fell so in love with California, that she moved to LA when she turned 18 by herself with only $200.

Yes I guess it used to confuse me, I feel freest within my confines. I guess it all has to do with how you draw your energy

I agree, and I never did find whatever it was I went looking for.
But it has been good for me.
I suppose I'll keep looking

Though I still need to go back to get to Burma and India

Are you hoping to move there?

Did you love it?

Last trip traveling sober was fantastic. I was out while all the backpackers were nursing hangovers.

I did love it! Very much! Though I would've been one of the backpackers nursing a hangover haha.

I'm glad you are saying hi, Plenny. I'm sorry you're wrapped up in a roommate sitch, it's not easy trying to get each other well.

It's so easy to say to the other person and so hard to look at ourselves. Not saying you're doing that, but I know it's hard in general.

So how are you going to look after yourself, as you mentioned? I don't say that as a challenge, I really want to know what your thoughts are bc I have to deal with that as well and I wonder what wisdom other avenues may bring. Self care is a challenge.

Sao, this is a great pic you posted.

sao- you have any experience with alcantara or micro suede?

I'm interested in it's anti reflective property or if there is a refraction constant known for it...
can't seem to find one

and thanks RUBY for the report on 'command strips'

Plenny, sorry to hear you are having a difficult time. Stick around here this weekend.

Whoever invented bass? I think that was god/nature/et cetera. Bass is great when it is like basso continuo in Vivaldi. Lowrider s***, not so nice.

I have cleaned up for only half a week (not drunk) and I seriously cannot believe how much I got done since I last left you guys:

Cleaned out a very large closet
Did the dishes twice
Made a plaster-of-Paris volcano with my daughter (four-layered)
Painted a wall, along with the baseboard, door and trim
Took out the trash and washed the recycling and trash bins with Lysol and hot water
Cleaned off a very messy table
Made late lunch and dinner
Watched a movie
Some other stuff

Seriously, what the heck? Glad to be lucid.

Hey everyone, celebrating 4 weeks today! I'm really proud of myself actually- it's so empowering making a change and doing something different than feeling the same old miserable feelings week after week! I feel so great mentally, and after my first real struggle lastnight which I managed to over come I feel even stronger. Have a great weekend guys- surprise, surprise yet more wedding planning for me, got my bridesmaids coming over to try their dresses on( one of them got married 4 weeks ago yesterday and I annoyed her greatly by acting like a total drunken fool at her wedding, which she has given me a very hard time about) so I'm hoping today is going to be a nice experience rather than a character assassination again! Any ways have a good one

Hey Mia! Great job on four weeks!

Are you worried your bridesmaid friend will keep bringing up how you acted at her wedding? This is a great place to talk that all out, we have all been fools and gentlemen... At weddings, at daycare, at life... Depends on the place and the time..

Anyway you're not alone.

Mia,

That is really an uncomfortable situation. Have you talked to your friend about what you are going through?
