Second go...

Hi guys,
Well, I'm back. Failed last time after two weeks (August 2015) and now I have to try again... The anxiety and constant drain means I need to do my best.
Day one... Done. But when I'm hungover it seems easy. Tomorrow I'm back to work after the holiday, and it'll be a tough one. But I'll worry about that tomorrow. Good evening, all.

I'm glad you are back and working on your recovery. Good for you for getting through Day 1 and it will be such a great feeling to leave the anxiety and exhaustion behind you.

Welcome back!!

What's your plan moving forward? . . . trying, hoping, doing my best never seemed to get me far, I needed to change up my routines, my habits, get some daily support to keep me focused, and make some tough decisions about the activities I got involved in and the people I hung out with!!

You can do this!!

Hi thanks guys... My plan is basically to just say no. I've already done so twice today to my SO. Walking my dog more and I'll be taking tablets to sleep tonight...
Is that cheating? Oh well...

Don't feel too bad, I tried to quit for years. If it were easy, there wouldn't need to be a forum like this.
I just kept trying and never gave up. I was a bad drunk, too.
It took some help for me. I couldn't do it alone. I was too far gone.
I really hope you have an easier time of it.
Take it one day at a time, and remember, you never have to drink again.

I've been back for six days after being on and off for a few years. I am committed to a sober 2016. Glad you are back as well.;-)

I'm glad you're back. I suggest having more of a plan than just saying no. Dee has a thread going right now about that. I had to make a bunch of changes in my life, I had to have support too. I can't do it alone.

Well done on day one. Keep going
