I can see it Melki.

Thanks for the non-spoiler review LBrain! Now can you arrange so that I can go to see it?

I accidentally watched two time travel movies last night - Looper and Predestination. Both were pretty entertaining if you like that sort of stuff.

Hugs for everyone

Gearing up for the festivities today and reminding myself to be grateful.

I can't believe the Jackson 5 stole this from Bruce Springsteen!

Trying to set the mood with some Christmas-y movies... What are some of your favorites?

Ha. LB, I started watching "Street Food [of the world]" last night on Netflix. The first episode was in Istanbul.

one thing I'll add about the star wars flick, and probably past ones...
I've been watching a lot of WWII stuff lately.
You see a very definite reference to a hitler type character/display and along with the uniforms and pageantry it emotes the third reich quite easily.

Spent the afternoon with my sister a couple days ago. She said she had to watch ELF or it wasn't christmas.
Too bad TNT ruined "A Christmas Story"

In the days of yore, it was an event to watch the annual christmas shows. If you missed it you had to wait till next year. So it became a family event to watch rudolph, charlie brown or a holiday movie.
Now it is not so much of anything at all. "I can rent it if I want to watch it."

Oh, excellent! The kids and I have actually never seen Elf because my husband is such a hum bug and spoils comedies with annoyed comments and sighs. We'll just banish him to another part of the house.

What's after Elf? I want more more more!!!

I love the Tim Allen Santa Clause movies, too. I know there's a Part II, maybe a Part III. Traditional, funny, modern. High-ish budget, great wardrobe and makeup and characters. Now you're getting me excited, I haven't started watching them yet.

Toy Story is another one I watch every holiday season.

LB, how did TNT ruin "A Christmas Story"?

Santa Clause! Toy Story! I'm so excited too!

Netflix has a whole section on Christmas movies this year, nicely done Netflix!

The "Santa Clause" movies have a lot of magic in them, too. Your kids will like them.

I haven't watched any of the Netflix ones, I only have so much bandwidth for Christmas movies and I don't want to accidentally watch some sappy, sad thing.
