Morning, W'enders,

The temps now have risen to 12 F here.

So much to catch up on.

MB, hope you feel better soon. Olive, you're so talented! What a lovely picture of Ken's cat.

Behan, good observation about alcohol. So happy for you to know that you'll celebrate this cherished first Christmas with Finn as the man, husband and father you were meant to be.

Mesa, thanks for sharing the webcam of the Flat Irons. One of my oldest and dearest friends lives in Louisville. I'll get back out there one of these days -- they visited this summer and it was great.

Yours truly stayed out 'til after midnight last night. Gasp! Just woke up. Today, though, is house-cleaning and finishing the Christmas shopping.

Brynn, I hope you'll check in soon. Your SR gang has your back, friend.

OK, workout then the rest of the stuff.

Have a lovely day, you lovely people. But before I go, I'll just echo Mecanix's point about any who are lurking. Jump in. It's nice in here.

V.

Wait! Brynn is here. I somehow missed that. And missed you, Brynn!

I need to not go so fast hitting the thanks button.

I've thought this too

I was talking to that cop I met- he said without alcohol in society he wouldn't have a job....

well I finally got into the site after only being able to read a couple pages. so I wrote a post offline and should hurry to get it in... Mrs LB is working a lot over the next week, she comes home and watches Friends until late. She got mad and called me "Monica" the other day! Monica must have it together I assume.

Well, I started reading and “couldn’t connect” site may be busy or…
Read a few passages at least, Js, I had a wrangler until my “wife”(evil *****) decided that I should get rid of it for a car we can put a child seat in – I know, I handed in my man card. We also had to get rid of dog because she didn’t want to take allergy medication that could affect her as yet to conceived child. Got a Subaru outback which was a decent car except the seats were ****. I still have the ‘subaru’ thule rack system I got for it – FOR SALE. Went through a few pick up trucks and my benz that I forget why I got rid of it – oh yeah, the new and improved wife needed something with navigation and a few newer amenities – I didn’t want 3 cars a couple years ago. I should’ve kept the civic hatchback – doh! Manual trans, no power steering, no AC, no power windows, no power nothing, but it got close to 45 mph. – it did have an FM radio that got a few stations though – loved that car!

Mesa, I didn’t know ford escape came with a snowmobile body style…
Once again BIgS is enjoying life without booze travelling to cool weekend retreats. Someday. Wife still wants to move to Honduras and live on an island. I can open my ‘restaurant’ there, Bim you can come down and run the dive shop, wife will set up a clinic, SP can do our promotion and MM can finance the whole shebang. Melina, you can be our chef, but you’ll have to stick with my ‘cup of eggs’ idea and burger of the day. The menu is going to be Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner. Those are the choices. You eat what mom cooks that day. No breakfast after 4 o’clock.
Well I guess I’ll see if the site is back on line. I haven’t been spending time on the forum. Need to put in the effort to wean myself from the internet. Congrats on the promotion weasel.
Hope everyone is well and keeping their sober selves sober.
JS attached is what I currently own. Kayak trailer is made by a custom shop near Harrisburg. After my tendon surgery I decided no more putting boats on the roof. Plus I can get a ton of stuff in the ‘basket’.
4 canoes or several kayaks and bikes.

Omg....potamus save me a seat next to you and that Mac and cheese!

Jen, on cars....go with your gut and get what you want. I bought a BMW and love it DESPITE all the naysayers telling me how expensive it was to repair blah blah. It's under warranty and when the warranty runs out maybe I'll just trade it in....who knows....but it's what I wanted and I love it!

Olive you are one talented lady!

And just to let y'all know...I'm still sober. Duh! I had two unexpected trips out of town this week and got home late last night. Was a stones throw from Ruby and Melina at one point. It's good to be home.

Sao ~

A fine Job on considering a Donation to those cleaning up the Streets after the Big Friday Night in them parts. Some Jobs are simply more thankless than others, eh?

I, too, appreciate Behan's WMD characterization of Alcohol. Weapon of Massive Disorientation. Or, Debt. Or, Disownment. Pick an Acronym. Any Acronym...

A quickie Search for a humorous IKEA Meme unexpectedly led to this germane one from 2003. Drunks keep Private Security Guards and Cops employed...

Good to see ya, Brynn. I thought perhaps a new Gardener was 'working your Neighborhood'. So to speak...

Hi everyone! Sweet cat, weasel! Olive is super talented and awesome. She sent me a painting of my little black cat. I'm going to hang in today.

Brynn, I'm glad to see you. I'm glad to see everyone!

Dad is OK, I guess. Mom hasn't been over there today. She's waiting for the carpet cleaners to come. I'm waiting for the heating guy. Heat's on now but it was freezing this morning. It's been randomly going on and off and it's 18 degrees Fahrenheit this morning. I don't think my super hardy pansies will outlast this.

So, I'm catching up here and trying to collect my extremely scattered thoughts. So much to do and so very little time. Chicken with head cut off. Argh!!

MB, hope you're recovering. Being sick when you're already down stinks.

Ruby, the hits just keep coming. I hope your furnace gets fixed soon! I don't do well when I'm cold at all. I have a plan to go to a hotel when the power goes out and it's cold - but so far I haven't had to do that. ((Prayers))
