Maybe she is not as indecisive as you thought...
TT, you are right about my father, he uses oxy and alcohol to "deal" with my Mom who is becoming unhinged in her older age. She thinks she's 16.

I did not want to start a new thread for this but wanted to mention something. A few weeks ago I mentioned I was really getting into food. Since we are not having any holiday meals with my family we've invited guests over tonight. They are bringing beef and chicken, we are supplying mini lobster tails, jumbo shrimp and a couple pheasants I shot a couple weeks ago. We are complimenting it with a cheesy potato casserole and corn. I hope I don't screw it up. This could be delicious.

Sounds yummy! Mmmmmmm.

I am making apple/pear pie this afternoon. With what pastry I have left over I plan to make raspberry jam turnovers. It's my mom's homemade jam from her raspberry patch and parts of it has whole raspberrys. Hard to go back to store-bought after having Mom's. She is coming to visit and stay with us tonight--having a special celebration for my son's birthday.

It's in the oven and smells amazing. Didn't have enough left of pastry dough to make turnovers so made pie-crust crackers instead.

As far as desserts go, it is pretty healthy, I think. I don't peel the fruit and use whole wheat flour. Now, mind you, it's not without some calories as I use butter in the crust. But, hey, it's my son's favorite and I am going to surprise him with it!!

I get an added benefit of making my house smell delicious!

Last nights meal was very good. Cooked the steaks on the grill and it was a bout 18F outside. so a bit chilly. The surprise of the evening....cheesy potato casserole. Holy cow was that good. Great Midwestern stick-to-your ribs type food. Comfort food.

On a side note, I would not recommend mini lobster tails. We got em on sale for like $6 a piece, but when you cook them and get the shell off, they are about the size of a jumbo shrimp. Probably better off biting the bullet and paying for the big ones.

So we went out to dinner with out guests last night at a bar/restaurant. They all had 2 blue moon beers I had a diet coke (hate beer). I was rewarded by spending $10 on pulls tabs and won $500. Very pleasant surprise.
