Hi Rar,

I don't think poor indicators of health are a reason to just give up trying to be healthy. I believe that most health problems can be reversed with diligent effort and discipline, no matter what age we are.

I believe this because I have had a chronic illness for the last decade. After struggling for years, listening to doctors give me horrifying prognoses, I found a way to get myself better. I had to severely restrict what I ate, but it was worth it.

Unfortunately, the mental challenges of dealing with illness drove me to this addiction to alcohol which does absolutely nothing for my health. So I need to look after that as well.

Try to view these test results as a reason to pursue health, not give up on it. As long as you are alive, there is hope.

Day 1 again.

Thanks Everyone for helping me last night. I dumped the remainder of my 5th beer out and went to bed. I felt physically okay this morning, but having feelings of guilt and sadness. Went to aerobics and took my cat to the vet. Taking a cat to the vet is a very stressful event. !!!!

Rar, I get it. I'm 70 and have had type 2 diabetes but it has been totally gone for the past 6 years. I resent restrictions but if I want to stay alive awhile longer, they are a small price to pay. Yes, some days I feel frustrated about it but then I have an awesome day or even an ok one and I realize that I really do want to both survive and thrive! (I had many severe depressions over the years since my pre-teens and happily made it through those and don't have the really bad ones anymore).
