Hi Troy, interesting you bring it up, I just had one yesterday. BAM, felt like crap physically, mentally, emotionally, all of it. Spent some time trying to figure out why, I couldn't. Just had to wait it out and tell myself it will be ok. My world will not fall apart being down for a day. I used to drink my way out of it. Stupid because it rarely worked.

I took a nap, tried to eat good, drink water, and I posted here. I watched a movie (which I never do). Then late in the afternoon, it lifted, no rhyme or reason that I can think of, it just did. I guess is my point is that you are not alone by any means, I guess its normal and pretty common. Hang in there Troy, its temporary.

I think to myself that I'm glad I don't have to shovel a load of drink down my neck anymore.
Drink never helps me celebrate.
I'm glad I have found a way to be happy without drinking.
Its a bit of a quieter way to celebrate, a little bit duller than past wild birthdays but I'm happy I don't have to feel ill or have regrets for the weeks that follow.

There we go, that's better. New day has begun.

I've decided, no more birthdays for me. I think I'll do what my grandma always used to do. From now on, I'm 29 and holding, thank you.

BTW... does anyone else hate those Facebook "happy birthday" messages? As if anyone would have remembered it's my birthday if Facebook didn't tell them, lol.

Would love to delete my FB account, but I like to keep it. My sister-in-laws post on it quite regularly, so it helps me stay in touch with what's going on in their lives.

Oops, Troy, I'm guilty of sending my family and friends birthday messages in Facebook. But I do send cards to them, too!

Holy f'n hell. Seems as though I definitely got a birthday present this year.

You have no idea of the size of the two contracts that just landed on my plate from out of nowhere. I was actually a little worried about money for a bit there, but these two contracts alone could possibly propel me into millionaire status.
