I am building a support army. Thanks to my own disease I've always had a hard time making friends and thankfully that seems to be changing. I have been able to add 2 new girlfriends who know him from before me moving out here and they are very supportive for me and my daughter. Thankfully, he seems to be on a break. I needed this. That was a 2 month long binger. Last night he had 2 beers, was coherent and even showered. This could last anywhere from 2 days to a month. It gives me time to plan without being all stressed out. Thank u for the prayers I needed this break.

Yeah for support armies! Mine was key years ago when I needed to leave a relationship. Isolation is the enemy here--interestingly, much as it when we're trying to maintain sobriety.

Take care--sending you warrior woman strength.

I'm sorry for what you're going through. I've been walking in your shoes as well and for too long. It's exhausting and trying to keep it all together for you and your daughter. I have a six year old too who is too wise in the way of the world already for her age.

Hugs and prayers! I love the mosquito comment and perfectly understand
