Well I guess everyone deals with it in different ways, and my method may not be well advised but it worked for my situation. Mainly I invite people out for wings, or hosted parties at my place just as I always have to show them we can have a great time together just minus me drinking. I wanted to let everyone know I'm still their friend even though I won't drink with them. My method can be equated with playing with fire, but I couldn't handle too much change at once. Over time they no longer ask me if I want a drink (and some of them still haven't even noticed I quit drinking and it's been over 9 weeks!). Overall what has helped me is to not cause so much drama about being sober, and just simply be a new improved version of myself. Not one of my friends even seemed to be overly affected because I didn't allow it become a dramatic event that I was quitting drinking - I just stopped. But hey I myself am still learning how to deal with it all. Sorry about my rambling btw lol.
