Introducing Sobermom!
Hi,
Thanks for sharing your story.
There has been more than one episode of Intervention centering around a woman who had gastric bypass only to later develop a drinking problem. Not that I consider that show to be some authoritative compendium of addictions, but I found it fascinating because I've had some issues with weight myself. Apparently a couple of studies have shown correlations.
Anywho, glad you're feeling good!

Wow, what a great post. Congratulations on 8 days! I can relate to "eating your feelings," I was never very overweight as a kid although I ate TONS of junk, probably because I used to have to walk to the convenience store and back, so that was about 4 miles each time, haha. As an adult, I've gone from thin and fit to quite overweight in the past 5 years, thanks in part to my former BFF, wine. I look forward to the day when I can say I'm fulfilled enough that I don't have to keep trying to fill all these emotional holes with something. And Plan B is to try to get addicted to exercise...hey, it could happen!
