I was riding high, just came crashing to earth day 1 again!
Glad you are back posting TDG. This is a tough battle. Start again and learn from your last mistake. Do what ever it takes to not have that first drink. it's your choice to put the first drink in your body... Your choice to stay clean. You choose your path each time you make the decision to drink or stay sober.
You can do this. It's not hopeless and you are not worthless. It takes dedication, commitment and strength. If it were easy to quit we wouldn't need this site to stay sober, we wouldn't need the array of support groups, therapy or recovery aids to stay clean. Your story is not unique and you are strong enough to fight this just like so many others here.
You are stronger than your excuses. Choose not to drink, today...tomorrow...next week...next month.
The choice to a better life is yours TDG.

Thank you all for your responses. I just wanted to say there are holes in my story. A lot has happened over the last two weeks. Many intricacies, and in's and outs. I came here for support, and yes there are things missing or that might not exactly add up because I intentionally leaving out parts because I will regret posting them online later because post on SR are permanent.
I can saw my program was a combination of working with the mental hospital and AA, and working with a dear friend of mine with a ton of sober time that I find very helpful.

The bottom line though is that no one is "doomed" to fail. Some do simply give up and succumb to their addictions, but only by choice.

It's good to see you, Jeremy, I've been worried about you.
As Ccam said "You are stronger than your excuses"
There is a huge relief in acceptance, I hope you can find that.
Don't give up !
