Hi and welcome Marina

A lot of us here have experienced blackoutrs so we understand.

The really good thing is you never have to go through that again if youdstop drinking. If your boyfriend or your friends drink, so be it...but once you know what can happen to you if you drink, I think it calls for some big changes and probably some tough lifestyle decisions ?

You'll find support here

I find the longer I've done the less I want to spoil it by breaking my record! The last time I stopped was the first time I'd given up and I started the day before my friends wedding due to pressure from others. I regret it so much and don't want others to effect my recovery ever again!

Think about how amazing you'll feel knowing alcohol won't cause the misery it has ever again. Xx

I feel so vulnerable right now, my partner is working away and I know he will come back and go straight to the off licence, even though he says he won't. The more I sit and think the more I feel that I am dependant, not physically but mentally. Most weeks I count the minutes from him coming home to the moment he says 'do you want a bottle of wine love?' The answer is always yes, if he goes out on a Friday night he always buys me wine to appease me and we will drink on a Saturday night and sometimes on a Sunday, although not to excess there is never a weekend that doesn't involve drinking.

I am dreading his return this week

You need to have a full and frank discussion with him about how frightened and troubed you are by last weekend.

He may not understand, but you have to, I think Marina?

The worst thing I ever did was get used to blacking out. Don;t go there.
