Day 11 and doing good. I feel great and I am still going to meetings. I get on this site in the mornings and it helps. If I get scared I will jump back on this site. I am so happy right now. I stopped smoking to at the same time sometimes that urge comes more often then the drinking kinda strange I guess. But I thought why quite one and not the other just do it. Well I hope everyone has a great day.

Congrats on eleven days and on quitting smoking, too! That rocks. We call it "unsmoking" over on the Nicotine forum. I don't think it's strange that you have more urges to smoke than drink. Nicotine, and smoking in particular, is highly addictive. I had quit for over six months earlier this year, but now I'm smoking again.

Happy New Year everyone. Well today is day 15 and the first New Years Day feeling good and w/o a hangover. I am happy and I love it and don't want it to end. I am looking forward to a brand new year. I have hope and I love it. I hope all of you have a great year.

I welcomed in the New Year sober for the first time in forever. Driving home I was able to see the fireworks going off all around me every where. There were some off to the right then some off to the left. It was cool...
