Raider - traveling seems to be a big trigger for you. I know that when my H and I drive straight through from NY to our place in NC all I want to do is hit the Red Lion for my bottles of wine. Haven't made this trip since I got sober but it's coming up. Your struggles are sending big red flags up my way. I hope you quickly get settled back into the good sober routine you had going. You are happiest sober, you deserve to be happy! (((((Hugs)))))
I have decided to not go ANYWHERE in my first year of sobriety (oh..except a spa with my mom in September...I'm with mom).
I relapsed last fall...on vacation.
Good. Get some rest and have a big breakfast, cuddle with the Fuzz.
I know you were trying to be funny, but I'm worried about you and every time you slip you make it harder. One of these times you might not make it back, and that would be a terrible loss to the world. I hear too many "didn't make it" stories.
C'mon, woman - let's do this.
Blessings.

I'm with Bimini on this.
I want you to be a success story Pam, just as I'm sure you want that too.
If we can agree on nothing else, let agree that you deserve better
I really hope you think hard about whatever it takes for you to stay sober.
Look at what you've been doing for recovery...and then think about what other things you can add - you can do this Pam

The relapse we all dread is the one that kills us. It is almost inevitable to alcoholics like us. Don't be a statistic Raider. I relapsed 3 days before my 1 year anniversary. A small bottle of whisky the night before my wedding. I told no one and I wished I had. Luckily I haven't drank since. Mainly because I love life at the moment. I don't hold the same faith as you as I am an atheist but pray if that helps you.
Maybe the time for professional help is in order. It sure as hell sounds like you need it.
Don't die of ignorance of your terrible disease.

Hey Pam, hopefully you come back and post after you've slept!!
I know you probably didn't mean "I did it because I can", everyone is in the same position, alcohol is pretty easily accessible, but not always beneficial. Dealing with the whys of wanting to drink is probably something to address over the next few days.
You just need to look at your plan, give it a few tweaks and go at things again, you can do this!!

Don't beat yourself up Raider, it's happened to me so many times. Each time I've learnt that little bit more to help me and get me stronger. You are a strong amazing person. Dust yourself off and start again. Today is a new day.
Hmm...bummer. I think its pretty clear that what are doing is not enough and not working for you to reach your desired outcome. Have you given thought to AA? In some of your other posts you mention the free time as being a trigger. A program that requires some accountability in terms of meetings combined with volunteering (animal shelter) to provide purpose and activities might really help.
