Disaster has happened.
Glad I cheered you up! If I can act as a reminder of why not to take that drink then today hasn't been so bad after all.
Grindilow, I hope you are feeling better now and poured out the rest. I have thought about you and wondered how your new life was going. How is the new job? Get back on the wagon. September is still active as a group.
Glad you came and posted and are reaching out.

Thanks Rochele. The new job is going great, I've been really proud of myself about it actually, compared to just before I started. Luckily fore the bender has come at a time when I am off anyway, so every cloud.
Thanks for looking out for me. Feels good to be back, I need this place

I could just sense the desperation in your post. Sounds like you really want to stay sober, but don't have the ability to do so. I've been there.
Like a wise man once said to me: "Matt, the mind is willing, but the body is incapable."
Keep trying, and one day the body WILL be capable. I assure you.
The great news about having a broken off switch is that once you work out that the situation will never change, you can move on.
Hope you feel better soon and get back on track.
I always "relapsed" when I was feeling good after a short period of not drinking.

Sorry to hear you're struggling, but I'm glad to see you back here Grindilow.
SR is great - but sometimes it's clearly not enough for some.
Maybe it's time to add to whatever you've been doing for your recovery tho?
And on SR, I'd think about joining either the December or the soon to be established January group as well - why not get as much support as you can?

If you get through this detox, please read this thread the next time you think you want to pick up.

This reaffirms my belief that I can never drink again and makes me happy for my recent decision to quit. Thank you.
Starting my 2nd day of sobriety. Tough night sleeping but I'm feeling a little better. As always with me the physical symptoms are very mild, just sweating, insomnia and lack of appetite, it's the mental side that always gets me, the anxiety and shame etc.
Fortunately I'm not busy today so I'm planning on taking it easy. Football is on later so at least that's something to look forward to. Plan on taking a walk and a bath to clear my head. Most of all I plan to end today sober.
This is a new start for me, I can do it cause I've done it before. My problem is always sticking at it. Hope I can do it this time.
Wishing you all a good start to 2014 whether you're on day 0 or 500, this works when we all stick together.
