Happy New Year's Day!
I've been drinking coffee and watching the morning news rerunning the events of the night. They also had hangover remedies and suggested if you woke up today feeling good, just go ahead and pour yourself a glass of smug juice.

Well done Tiger Lil for starting the thread last night. I put myself to bed at 9pm last night. I still heard the fireworks but I refused to get out my bed. How sad that my AV remains so strong I can't even open my patio doors and enjoy the Pyrotechnics but I Knew it was safer that way. What an isolating condition.
Hopefully i'll have the strength to open those doors wide and celebrating the sober year that was.

I made it through to mid-night by going through my mother's old photos with my sister; it's quite sobering to see the progress of ageing in each generation, including mine. I found a photo of my great-great grandfather in a lovely old locket I've never seen before.
