My plan to stay sober is to eat chocolate, play with my cat, watch tv and read SR.

I am not leaving my apartment until tomorrow morning. I am not ducking out for some 'milk' and making a detour to the liquor store.

I will wake up without a hangover and feeling just fine.

I keep reminding myself that there will be MANY people celebrateing NYE without an alcoholic drink to hand, or without getting drunk. I will be one of those people.

Alcohol quit being my BFF a long time ago and I don't want to spend my NYE with her.

Thank you Captain. I am praying for a sober 2014.

I finished work at 1pm today. I stopped at Woolies to get a packet of Mint Slices as a treat for tonight.

I'm in the middle of packing up my mother's house after moving her into assisted care. So absolutely guaranteed not to drink. There's actually a bottle of nice bubbly in her wine rack but it's not even on my radar. Boy this really does get easier.

It's good that you have a guarantee not to drink, but it's sad about the reason why.
