Staple myself to the sofa and get the cat to hide the car keys so I can't go out for booze!

Can you see the fireworks from your pad, Tiger? I'm wondering if CNN or BBC might have the display on the air? here, I mean. It's 2309 on the 30th here. I'm very much looking forward to seeing the last day of 2013. Bring on 2014 and let's all sing and dance!

Yep, they have a 9pm show. I think they are having a brief one at 10.30 this year too.

If I lived at the back of my building, I'd be able to see them. If I go across to the park across the street, I'd have a perfect view. However, it will be full of people and possibly my neighbours and some friends wielding champagne, hence my decision to stay indoors and not venture out.

I know you can see the fireworks live online but not sure if other countries show them on tv. I put a link up in the first post or two to where they can be seen online.

I keep thinking about how when I start to feel better after a few months of not drinking, I forget that I have a drinking problem and start drinking again. I'm like a goldfish or something.

It is just passed 10.00 am New Year's Eve here in windy rainy England. Out tonight with friends but will be pretty quiet. All these time differences are pretty crazy aren't they?
