1,000,000 kudos to you Scott! Looks like the sober life has treated you very well! You are right--a person needs to remain vigilant. At my AA meeting tonight, a guy by the name of "Jason" spoke. I had never seen him before and thought he was "new." Here I found out he had remained sober for a year and just recently relapsed. He said the main reason he relapsed was because he got complacent and stopped doing anything including working a program, to remain sober.
