What do you drink instead of an alcoholic drink that isn't unhealthy?
Thanks for posting this. I have been trying different things for when I am cooking dinner, which is when I used to start pouring wine, because it made me feel glamorous. Heh. Yup, real glamorous three hours later and the next morning, too!
Thanks for the ideas!

I've heard that Apple cider vinegar has some really strong medicinal value...do you find this to be true?
Water is my #1 beverage. Can't even really think of any beverages that really excite me. There are a couple of Vitamin Water Zeros I like, especially the uncommon flavors like pomegranite and passion fruit. I used to drink a lot of Herbal Teas also.
While there's clearly no harm for most in enjoying a non-alcoholic beverage while watching TV at night, you might want to consider working at changing that habit altogether. If alcohol was your choice TV watching drink, you may one day just be in a bad place and say, "screw this, I want the real thing." Kind of like an alcoholic hanging out in a bar drinking sodas. If we closely associate drinking with certain activities those activities can be triggers. And then again, it may not affect you at all like this... I'd just be on guard as to how I was feeling about it. And if I felt at all as though I was "missing" something, I'd change the habit altogether.

From the fair amount of research I've done, I've concluded that drinking apple cider vinegar won't harm me. If it's just a placebo effect, I'm ok with that. My sister and a couple friends swear by it, claiming it's refreshing and rejuvenating and does all these great things to your digestive system, skin, hair and nails.
I'm about a quarter into a large bottle of apple cider vinegar (Bragg's brand, with the mother). I'll keep going with it if I start to feel more peppy after drinking by the end of this bottle.
I love really cold water with lemon (I keep containers in the fridge filled with filtered water and lemon slices (the lemon slices don't need to be changed all that often, surprisingly) , Lacroix flavored sparkling water, oolong tea (supposedly helps with weight), Sobe Zeros and Vitamin Water with zero calories. I used to be a Diet Coke-aholic but I decided to cut out all artificial sweeteners and all of the above have none of those. I also sometimes splurge on colas made from Stevia (a no calorie natural sweetener)called Zevia colas. All of the above have no calories and no artificial sweeteners and they are great!
I bought a soda stream and I love it because you can control that amount of carbonation in your water. I carbonate the living tar out of it, to the point that sometimes it stings my eyes when I drink it (DD calls it Death By Water
I have also starting loving vanilla almond milk. I grab a glass the second I get home from work and drink it. Anihilates the cravings for me during witching hour.
Diet A.W. over crushed ice, ginger ale, and a metric ton of good old H20.
Used to pour various things in wine glasses. I no longer do that. Crazy, as if I wanted to continue to use my stemware as some form of nonsensical sophistication.
Most of them are chipped from overuse anyway.
