What do you drink instead of an alcoholic drink that isn't unhealthy?
I drink the juice of a lime or lemon mixed with water. I read somewhere that its good for the liver. I figure I owe it to my liver to drink one or 2 glasses everyday. Sometimes the juice of a beet, apple, and grapefruit in a juicer. Also read the liver likes these foods. I would do it more often but I'm lazy and not a fan of cleaning the juicer...
Apple cider vinegar and honey in water
Unsweetened hibiscus concentrate in soda water
A variety of bitters in soda water
Lemons x a million
Tea
At the bar I drink soda water with pineapple and bitters
I love caffeine

Sounds boring, but I drink water. Since I quit drinking I cannot get enough. Some days up to 2 gallons! I don't understand it but I guess I need it. Also coffee with cream or if I want a splurge something fancy from Starbucks.
Ok, dumb question, but isn't bitters pretty much straight grain alcohol with added flavors? Or arg we talking about something else?
Sleepy time tea, soda water with cranberry and lime, herbal tea.. Debating on trying kombucha but it contains .05 percent alcohol from the fermenting but it's supposed to be very cleansing and healing, especially to the liver. I've made it and drank it for years but haven't had it in awhile. Anyone familiar?
I still drink a few dashes of bitters because I love the flavor. I also still use mouthwash, drink kombucha, and take NyQuil if I'm desperately sick and need sleep.
Adding bitters is like: adding vanilla extract or any other extract to flavor something. My bitters and soda has less alcohol than an n/a beer. I also still cook with wine, I just don't drink it.
My problem was getting drunk. Some people can't be in the same room as anything with alcohol in it. They might be in danger of overindulging in bitters, or vanilla extract, or rubbing alcohol, or mouthwash. It depends what kind of drinker/alcoholic one is I suppose.

I wasn't suggesting that, just asking a simple question. There are folks from all around the world here and some words have different meanings in different places. Sorry if it was taken the wrong way.
