Welcome! There's a lot of information and links here. It took me a few minutes to work out what was where. It all makes sense after a while...unlike life.

Zed, Bunion, Hippy, do this: Point, click, type how you are doing, then sit back and wait for an amazing amount of insight and support. The people here truly do care. And they understand what you are going through. My time here at SR has helped me stay sober for the last 19 days - longer than I have ever been sober in my adult life. Welcome, to SR. I am glad you all are here.

Well now hate to admit I am making this message because I know not what else to do. Hope this is the next step in understanding of this system-- darn tough to be so thick-- I can repair any electronic system but go blanks with blogs and terms like tag, permalink and thread. Hoping for the blink of the bulb that turns on my understanding thanks all!!!

zedman, the site is set up with a number of groups deals with particular issues such as alcoholism, drug addiction, living with an alcoholic, healthy eat, etc. From the main page here, you can explore and chose the group or groups that best fit your needs. Within that group you either read existing posts, respond to a post, or post a new message.

That's it. You've already done two of those in the Newcomers to Recovery to Recovery thread.

One thing I use a lot is the "my posts" links at the top of the page. This will list either the threads you started or responded to. There is a envelope picture on the left side that indicates if there has been new activity. That makes it easy to follow up on discussions you have been following.

That said, it is perfectly fine to stay right here in the newcomers section and post anything until you are more comfortable with the site.

That being said I may be able to grasp this stuff after all.
I have been sober for quite a few 24s , retired , feel the need to give back what I have learned in sobriety. I am so very grateful to all persons who have helped me get what I have Today. I get the whillies just thinking where I came from. so where should I go?
